The UK Supreme Court has ruled to quash the rate rigging convicitons of former traders Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo. They were convicted of interest rate benchmark manipulation in 2015 and 2019 respectively, with the Court of Appeal twice dismissing appeals against each of their convictions.
